Sophisticatedly integrated into the architecture
In the penthouse of a listed canal-side house in Amsterdam, an ‘en suite’ wellness bathroom was created. The challenge: where to fit the sauna? Working with the specialists at KLAFS, it was ingeniously designed to fit around the existing columns – one side wall disappears out of sight behind vertical walnut panelling, which blends seamlessly into a wardrobe wall. The fully glazed front made of clear glass offers a view of the entire wellness area whilst using the sauna. The FERO heater with SANARIUM® function provides cosy warmth, complemented by an InfraPLUS infrared seat.
PREMIUM sauna, exactly made-to-measure
Where a wardrobe once stood, the whole family now relaxes: beneath a sloping ceiling in the bathroom, a spacious, made-to-measure sauna based on the PREMIUM model has been installed, measuring 2.6 metres wide, 3 metres deep and just under 2.3 metres high. As the homeowners are tall, their main concern was the sense of space – a worry that was allayed right from the consultation stage. A full-length glass front creates a sense of spaciousness rather than confinement, the space-saving BONATHERM under-bench heater provides room for five different bathing modes with SANARIUM®, and the backlit Bonatherm wall bathes the cabin in warm, harmonious light.
Bespoke DOME Sauna
Outstanding craftsmanship, visionary design and uncompromising quality: the bespoke premium DOME sauna at the Van Volxem vineyard in the hills of the Saar is a prime example of this. A domed roof made of warm, gleaming copper showcases the centrally positioned MAJUS steam generator and creates an almost meditative ‘campfire atmosphere’. Organically curved slats, softly rounded loungers and generous, double-glazed windows overlooking the pool and vineyards make this sauna a one-of-a-kind creation – tailored precisely to the client’s wishes.
