Thanks to KLAFS’ infrared control system developed in collaboration with specialist company Physiotherm, the infrared bath becomes a personalised home sauna experience.

To ensure the infrared heat delivers its full benefits without overstressing the skin, four SensoCare sensors in the heater continuously and contactlessly measures the temperature of your skin throughout the session. The system automatically adjusts the intensity to suit your body, gently and precisely. This creates a personalised, safe, and deeply relaxing warming experience.

InfraPLUS: Infrared heat for home saunas

With the InfraPLUS add-on, you can bring the soothing effects of infrared rays directly into your home sauna, eliminating the need for an additional cabin. The infrared seating can be integrated into existing KLAFS sauna models and blends harmoniously into the design of the sauna cabin.

InfraPLUS Seats

With InfraPLUS Seats, KLAFS offers a modular system that lets you create a customised infrared setup. Two infrared seating units can be combined in an 80 cm grid, allowing for flexible configurations, from a compact two-seat unit that fits into almost any room, to larger installations with multiple rows.

The infrared cabin is also available as a real eye-catcher: In the Oakstone design variant, elegant oak wood meets gratinated natural stone - dark or light, depending on taste and spa. This noble ambience is underlined by the indirect, relaxing lighting between the seats and in the ceiling cove.

So that a wide variety of floor plan variants are possible for a wide variety of room concepts, the seats can be combined completely individually in a grid of 80 cm. In this way, every infrared dream can come true in a relaxed manner: from the small cabin with two seats to the large one with several rows of seats.

S1 Infrared

Retract, extend, and enjoy soothing warmth: the KLAFS S1 Infrared adapts perfectly to your space and needs. It’s available in two versions, the Infrared S1 SINGLE with one seat (122 cm wide), and the Infrared S1 DOUBLE with space for two (172 cm wide. Both models are designed to plug into a standard 230 V household socket, meaning no complex electrical work is required in most settings.

Installing a home bathroom sauna

In the UK, electrical safety regulations require that sockets in bathrooms are positioned outside regulated zones, typically at least 3 metres from the edge of a bath or shower, and must be RCD-protected. KLAFS will work with you to ensure your installation is safe, compliant, and tailored to your space.

What is infrared?

The term infrared comes from the Latin infra, meaning “below”, referring to electromagnetic radiation just below the visible light spectrum. Infrared radiation is invisible to the human eye and spans wavelengths from 780 to 1,000,000 nanometres (nm). Because of its warming effect, it’s often referred to as heat radiation.

What makes infrared special is its ability to transfer heat to the body without direct contact. Infrared rays are absorbed by the upper layers of the skin and converted into heat, without penetrating deeper into the body. This triggers the body’s natural cooling response, increasing blood flow to the skin, which helps distribute the warmth safely and effectively.

Infrared heat can be precisely regulated to match the skin’s heat absorption capacity, making it a safe and comfortable way to enjoy deep, soothing warmth.
