IDEA & CONCEPTION

The centrepiece of the newly redesigned wellness area is the spacious PROFI sauna. Open to all guests six days a week as a Finnish sauna at 80°C, it transforms once a week into an exclusive SANARIUM® at a gentle 65°C, reserved exclusively for women. Inside, clean lines, elegant red cedar wood, and a three-level lounger with atmospheric under bench lighting create an ambiance that combines relaxation with timeless design. Ergonomic lounge surfaces made of abachi wood offer the highest level of comfort and invite you to linger.

A KLAFS innovation featured in this sauna is the ENYA infusion bowl – a smart solution for commercial sauna operators. It enables continuous, automated infusion ceremonies, either on a timer or at the touch of a button. This elegant system allows facilities to offer a memorable, soothing infusion experience without the need for a dedicated infusion master.

IMPLEMENTATION

The project was seamlessly integrated into ongoing operations. Thanks to precise planning and close collaboration between KLAFS, architects, and the operator, a holistic, tranquil idyll emerged, combining tradition and modernity in a unique concept that allows guests to forget the stresses of everyday life. The careful selection of warm colours, natural materials, and sophisticated lighting created an oasis of calm that delights guests.

Sauna for well-being
Vertical wooden slats made of solid oak elegantly frame the glass elements of the wellness cabins. The custom-made slats serve as privacy screens and can be easily moved for cleaning.

A highlight of the new wellness area is the specially developed three-tiered lounger, which is impressive both visually and in terms of space utilization.

The exterior wall and windows were also clad with wooden slats to preserve a cohesive, harmonious wellness landscape. Porphyry flooring and indirect LED lighting under the benches and along the walls enhance the inviting character of the room and bathe it in a soft, cozy light. This special combination of wood and light is reflected throughout the entire wellness area.

Another highlight is the Microsalt Lounge, where fine dry salt mist is dispersed to create a relaxing microclimate.

Two crystal salt walls with soft LED lighting and a generous glass front create an atmosphere in which every breath is reminiscent of the healing freshness of the sea. Thanks to patented pulverization technology, the air is enriched with fine salt particles that have a soothing, disinfecting, and anti-inflammatory effect on the lungs and respiratory tract.

At a constant temperature of 45°C and 100% humidity, the microclimate here has a regenerative effect on the skin and respiratory tract. The seating arrangement has been specifically designed to offer maximum privacy and comfort, while the stylish lighting and high-quality materials create a cozy oasis of calm.
