For the construction of saunas, natural wood has great importance. The knot-free, robust wood of the Canadian hemlock is best suited for the sauna, as it does not warp, even under extreme conditions, and gives off heat evenly.

The Institut für Holztechnologie Dresden GmbH has awarded KLAFS real wood veneer panels a test certificate, which certifies that the panels we use do not contain formaldehyde and comply with legal requirements.

Our advice is that, when buying your sauna, look for RAL-tested quality. This is because the Gütegemeinschaft Saunabau, Infrarot- und Dampfbad e.V. confirms the highest quality standards with the official RAL quality mark for sauna construction.
